PINK PEONY by Susie Hale

When spring arrives, the peony rises
So quickly you can almost see it grow.
Several inches in just a few days
Where a month or two before there was snow.
When the foliage begins to look like a bush,
The giant flowers unfold,
Sometimes so large and heavy,
They’re too much for the stem to hold.
Such showy blooms from ugly bulbs…
God’s creativity inspires me.
But more amazing than his natural wonders
Is the fact that God desires me!
For he knows he can take this simple life
And use it to bring him glory.
He can grow me daily and cause me to blossom
To tell the world his story.
