God’s Forever Family

I am Caucasian, my skin bright white,
and my grandfather was born a Scot.
You may be African, with skin like cocoa,
much in common we have not.
However, when we both know Jesus,
we are adopted in the family of God.
Our color, nationality, traditions,
the things that divide matter not.
We are a people, chosen by God
to live in familyship forever.
It matters not what we were before:
unity in Christ should be our endeavor.
As we each have received His mercy,
Love and mercy we must bestow.
We must embrace our brothers and sisters,
those who love Jesus, wherever we go.
