OUR
REDEEMER

Israel
was often in captivity
due to
their rebellious sin,
But
when it seemed all hope was gone,
The
Redeemer entered in.
The
Lord Himself as their husband
Would
rescue them from their foes
Like a
kinsman-redeemer would buy back slaves
or
save a widow from financial woes.
Boaz
in redeeming Naomi’s land
And
marrying the widowed Ruth
Was a
foreshadowing of our Husband, Jesus,
the
Way, the Life, and the Truth.
We
were in need of redemption.
Our
sin had us deeply enslaved.
Jesus
paid the price to free us,
Dying
that we might be saved.
Christ
will not leave us abandoned.
When
we entrust our lives to His grace,
He
becomes our protector, provider;
That
no other man can replace.
